Putting a smile on the face of hospitalised children with the Theodora Foundation

Our employees took part in the Course de l’Escalade 2021 and raised CHF 6,000 to support the Théodora Foundation. CA next bank also sourced its greeting cards and chocolates from Théodora, with the majority of the proceeds going directly to the mission.

Crédit Agricole next bank is the bank that is close to you, in good times and bad. That’s why we’re personally involved with local associations and organisations that contribute to social life and support those who need it the most.

For almost 30 years now, the Théodora Foundation has been bringing smiles back to the faces of children in hospitals and specialised institutions with its “docteurs Rêves”, or ‘Dream Doctors’. Working every week in 34 hospitals and institutions for disabled children in Switzerland, these 75 professional artists are specially trained to use their talents in a hospital setting and work in collaboration with the medical staff.

We decided to support Théodora during the 2021 edition of the Escalade race: for each kilometre ran, 20 Swiss francs were donated to the foundation, the equivalent of a visit by a Dream Doctor to a child. Our employees did not fail to show up and 53 team members from Crédit Agricole next bank, but also from Crédit Agricole des Savoie and Crédit Agricole Centre-Est, got involved for the occasion. They proudly raised 6,000 Swiss francs, which we donated to the foundation.

Every year, Crédit Agricole next bank pays special attention to the partners with whom the bank has collaborated, in the form of greeting cards and chocolates to celebrate a new year together. We decided to extend our collaboration with Théodora to increase donations. As our supplier for greeting cards and for chocolates, 80% of the amount (i.e. 3416 francs) and 50% (i.e. 3380 francs) went directly to Théodora’s mission.
